First Step is a program designed to help young basketball players learn the fundamentals of basketball. The fundamentals of basketball are what anchors every player's skill set. We will be laying a foundation for each player by teaching them the essentials of basketball: ball handling, footwork, shooting, and passing in a FUN environment. Learning these essentials will help make the game easier as players continue to get older!

The goal of First Step is to have your player prepared for our Academy Training Program (A.T.P.) when they reach the appropriate grade level!


Spring First Step Overview

  • Players do NOT need to be evaluated for this program
  • Two Part Program (Part = 5 Friday Sessions)
  • Time: 5-6pm
  • We DO NOT offer makeup sessions or credit missed sessions into other programs or refunds
  • 60 minute classes
  • 10:1 player to coach ratio
  • Groups are divided by grade level, gender, talent, and skill
  • Players need to bring their own basketballs
  • We will send out an information email 1 week before the program begins to all players who have registered.

Schedule

10 WEEK PROGRAM / 5 SESSIONS PER PART

Fridays: 5:00 - 6:00PM

Part I: 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 4/5, 4/12

Part II: 4/19, 5/3, 5/10, 5/24, 5/31

(No sessions on 3/29, 4/26 & 5/17)

All classes will be held at the Pacers Athletic Center (200 E 186th St A, Westfield, IN 46074)
